Kitten Shower Is March 12

Public Invited to Attend and Learn About Fostering and Kitten Needs

kitten-shower-Mar-12On March 12, 2016, the public is invited to celebrate "Louisville's largest baby shower" by bringing gifts for shelter kittens.

The kitten shower will take place at the Kentucky Humane Society's Main Campus, 241 Steedly Drive in Louisville, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. that Saturday.

Louisville Metro Animal Services is also hosting a Kitten Shower during this time at their Animal House adoption center on Newburg Road.

Early spring is one of the busiest times for the shelter when it comes to kittens. We will have many who need fostering, if only for a few weeks. There will also be neonatal kittens who will need around the clock care for a number of weeks.

At the shower, guests will learn about fostering opportunities, kitten care and the importance of spaying and neutering. There will be kittens, fun for the kids, and refreshments. We ask that guests bring an item from our kitten wish list.

Come learn about kitten care and help us prepare for all the little arrivals!
