The Kentucky Humane Society has sold out of in-person tickets for the 29th annual Tuxes & Tails “Grand Ole Pawpry” Gala benefitting the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Louisville Marriott Downtown!
But don’t fret; supporters who were unable to secure tickets can still partake in this fun event by participating in the silent auction online, which features rare bourbons, pet adoptions and boarding, fine dining, relaxing spa packages and more. The auction opens on Friday, August 4, 2023, and closes at 9 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023.
Donations are also welcome to our TLC Fund, which provides advanced medical and behavioral help to our most fragile animals.
The 2023 Tuxes & Tails Gala’s presenting sponsor is Mister “P” Express Inc. and signature sponsor is Brown-Forman. We’re fixin’ to have a good time at the gala, which features a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, dinner, dancing, specialty cocktails and the showcase our special four-legged guests. Attendees are invited to show off their “Pawpry” style by dressing in their favorite attire: western wear, party dresses, rhinestones, denim, bolo or black tie, and bling.
With help from y’all, KHS will yell yee-haw for all the funds raised for our shelter pets. Support for Tuxes & Tails, KHS’ largest fundraiser of the year, allows the nonprofit animal welfare agency to keep on truckin’ by providing important services for Kentucky’s homeless dogs, cats, and horses and for struggling pet owners.
At the gala, KHS will announce the winners of their inaugural Humane Heroes Award, which honors local champions for companion animals. It’s certain to be a doggone good time.
The silent auction opens online, Friday, August 4 at www.kyhumane.com/tuxes, and items should be picked up at KHS’ East Campus on Sunday, August 13 for those not in attendance.
