The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) is offering supplemental pet food through our Pet Food Bank to help pet guardians struggling with financial insecurity. If you are in need of pet food assistance, complete the request form below. After the form is submitted, a KHS Pet Retention Counselor will reach out with details on how to pick up the food.
In addition to the Pet Food Bank, KHS offers free counseling and resources through its Pet Retention Services Department. Pet guardians can receive support for behavior and housing challenges, referrals for affordable spay/neuter or veterinary care, guidance on finding pet-friendly housing, and connections to other local assistance programs.
KHS also provides affordable veterinary care through its CARE-a-van mobile veterinary clinic, which travels throughout Louisville and Kentucky to bring pet wellness services directly to communities. Current offerings include vaccinations, heartworm tests, microchipping, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, nail trims, wellness exams and spay/neuter surgeries.
KHS’s S.N.I.P. Clinic provides affordable, high-quality spay/neuter surgeries for cats and dogs. Since 2007, the spay/neuter experts at the S.N.I.P. Clinic have provided surgeries to more than 175,000 felines and canines!
