Brutus is 5 year old, 14.2 hh grade gelding who was collected as a feral horse rescued from the roads near an airport in Eastern Kentucky. Brutus was collected as a stallion and spent a few months working with one of our training partners who established a solid start on groundwork. Since coming to Kentucky Humane Society Brutus has been gelded and is all healed up and ready to start his next chapter.

Brutus stands quietly tied, enjoys grooming, stands quietly for the farrier, loaded and unloaded willingly, yields the shoulders and haunches, roundpens, and is doing basic in-hand work. He has been introduced to a saddle pad and saddle here at KHS, but does not have any under saddle work at this point. So far he has been calm, willing, and low energy while learning new skills and responds well to pressure/release and r+ training methods. This sweet guy is ready for his next step and will make a great project!
