We’re excited to share that Figaro has made some real improvements in the past week. Now that we’ve found the right cocktail of topical and oral medications, his infection levels are waning and his wounds are closing without issue.
With his inflammation almost completely resolved, little Fig is starting to move more confidently, too! He’s taken small but strong steps with his hind legs and gets more playful with each passing day. With this progress in mind, we’ve sent Figaro to a foster home with an experienced staff member to give him more space to heal. He’s already settled in and seems to especially enjoy supervised play sessions with the resident cat in his foster home.

Figaro’s road to recovery has been lengthy but now that he’s making steady improvements, we’re confident that the rest of his healing journey will be much easier. We will keep you posted on his progress in his foster home but in the meantime, you can support lifesaving care for kittens just like Figaro by donating in his honor at kyhumane.org/donate. Together, we can stand beside vulnerable animals no matter their needs.
