KHS is ALL IN for Kentucky’s Animals – Are You?!
We have exciting news to share! The Kentucky Humane Society is thrilled to announce that we are ALL IN for animals in our community. This marks the start of an ambitious capital campaign to build a new Animal & Community Campus off Preston Highway near I-65/I-264. This brand-new facility will significantly expand our ability to care for animals and support the people who love them throughout Kentucky.

For more than 140 years, KHS has saved the lives of innocent animals. But our current shelter, built in the 1950s, can no longer keep up with the growing needs of our community. That is why we are ALL IN.
At our new campus, KHS will:
- Expand housing for dogs and cats by 30%, helping us facilitate over 7,000 adoptions each year
- Provide over 6,000 low-cost veterinary appointments annually at a public clinic
- Perform 13,000+ spay/neuter surgeries to help combat pet overpopulation
- Offer free counseling and support to more than 8,000 families to help keep pets and people together
- Deliver humane education programs for more than 1,000 children, teens and adults
- And so much more!

This is more than a building. It is a promise to the animals and families who depend on us every day. We invite you to be part of this historic moment. Whether you make a gift, share the news or get involved as a community ambassador, your support will make a lasting difference for animals across Kentucky.
