Waterfront Park and the Kentucky Humane Society today announced a new partnership to make Brunch (& Bark) by the Bridge more pet friendly than ever! This year, attendees are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends to Louisville’s favorite Sunday tradition. A portion of the proceeds from select specialty cocktails will support the Kentucky Humane Society’s (KHS) lifesaving programs.
In addition to four-legged attendees, this year’s Brunch (& Bark) by the Bridge will feature local food trucks, live jazz music and drink specials. This popular Sunday event series takes place on April 3 & 10, June 5 & 12 and July 17 on the Big Four Lawn.
To kick off the partnership, Ethan will join KHS at this year’s inaugural event on Sunday, April 3 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Attendees can meet Ethan, cuddle with adorable puppies and score free KHS swag to show their support for the animals.
Also on April 3, Tito’s Vodka for Dog People will offer tastings of their Hair of the Dog Bloody Mary and Greyhound Screwdriver cocktails. A percentage of proceeds from these specialty cocktails will benefit KHS.
“We are excited and grateful to partner with Waterfront Park on such a fun and popular event,” said Alisa Gray, Vice President of Outreach for KHS. “What better way to show your support for the animals and KHS than to bring your animal companions to the best Sunday event in town!”
“Waterfront Park is thrilled to welcome back the Brunch by the Bridge event series and make it even more pet-friendly through this partnership with KHS,” said Catie Nelson, Waterfront Park. “We look forward to welcoming park visitors and their dogs to our event on Sundays in support of our two wonderful non-profit organizations.”
All dogs who are up-to-date on their vaccinations are welcome to paw-ticipate. All canine attendees must remain leashed at all times in order to create a safe and fun environment for all.
The April 3 Brunch (& Bark) by the Bridge will feature music by the Baconaters from 11: 00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. Participating food trucks include The Cocktail Truck, Lil Cheezers, Poppe Cafe, Sweet and Savory, Mr C’s Cheese Cake and Blackbeard Espresso Company. Vendors include Tru Bliss Boutique, Little Dog’s Pawstry Shoppe, Kendra Scott and Lou Piquenique.
The April 3 Brunch (& Bark) by the Bridge is sponsored by Feeder’s Pet Supply, MetLife, Busch Beer, Louisville Downtown Partnership, Midwest Elite Services, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, High Noon Sun Sips, Old Forester, Korbel and Master of Mixes Bloody Mary.
