Give For Good Louisville starts at 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2023!
Today is Give for Good Louisville, our city’s largest day of online giving. Donate today to help us earn an extra $15,000 from an anonymous donor who loves animals as much as you do!
On September 14, your gift will go TWICE as far to help animals in our community who are in desperate need of shelter, care and love – animals like Gully. This poor kitten was found by a KHS foster caregiver in a ditch on the side of the road. Gully was clinging to life after being hit by a car.
Gully’s body had been shattered, leaving both of his left legs in need of surgery. His rear leg suffered a total fracture, and his front leg lacked muscle tone and strength, indicating a radial nerve avulsion. Our veterinary team came up with a plan to save Gully’s rear leg and, in turn, save his life. Dr. Emily Bewley inserted pins to repair the fracture and hold the bones of his back leg in place until they’re fully healed. Thanks to your help, we were able to give Gully emergency medical care he needed. Today only, when you give today in honor of animals like Gully, your donation will help us earn a $15,000 matching gift from a generous anonymous donor. That means your $50 donation becomes $100 and your $100 becomes $200! Help us meet this match and help even more animals like Gully by donating to our Give for Good Louisville page!
