Donate on Thursday, September 15 to Help Needy Pets like Bentley!
At only 4-weeks old, poor Bentley was already in a desperate situation. His mom and siblings were living in an overcrowded Eastern Kentucky shelter. Since he was the runt of the litter, Bentley’s siblings wouldn’t let him eat and he was slowly starving to death. Then the deadly flooding hit the region.
Immediately after the flooding, KHS transported more than 270 homeless animals out of Eastern Kentucky to KHS, including Bentley and his siblings. Today, Bentley and his siblings are in a loving foster home, where Bentley is gaining weight and getting stronger every day. Soon, Bentley and his siblings will all be adopted by loving families.
Every day of the week, the Kentucky Humane Society takes in homeless dogs, cats, and horses throughout Kentucky, including during natural disasters like the recent Eastern Kentucky flooding and Western Kentucky tornadoes. With your support, we heal their bodies and hearts, then we find them wonderful homes.
A Day of Giving on Sept. 15
Thursday, September 15 is Give for Good Louisville, our city’s single biggest day for giving. On this day, we ask that you please give to the Kentucky Humane Society. Your gift will help animals in our community who are in desperate need of warm shelter, urgent medical care, and nutritious food. Animals like Bentley who have seen so much hardship and just need a loving hand.
Your donations will not only support our lifesaving work, but they will also allow us to compete for additional funds offered by the Community Foundation of Louisville so that we can help even more animals. On Thursday, will you remember the Kentucky Humane Society by visiting our Give for Good Louisville page?
With your Give for Good donation, you can help KHS continue to save the lives of innocent pets in Kentucky and beyond and give them the second chances they deserve.
We thank you, and Bentley thanks you, for the support you have given us in the past and now.
