Dear Friends of Animals,
As KHS’ staff veterinarian, I am on the front lines of the lifesaving work we perform every day for the hundreds of suffering animals who come through our doors. This work is only possible because of your donations to help our Tender Loving Care (TLC) Fund, which pays for urgent medical care and behavioral rehabilitation for our most fragile dogs, cats and horses.

On Saturday night, we hosted our Tuxes & Tails Gala and highlighted a few special animals whose lives were changed this year by our TLC Fund. Watch our TLC video here to hear their heartbreaking and inspiring stories.
- Momma Malone, a tiny Jack Russel Terrier, came to KHS with a huge pregnant belly. With the help of nine staff members, we helped her deliver 9 healthy babies.
- Fancy, a two-month-old kitten, came to us with lacerations, hearing loss and a hole in her sinus after she was injured by a vehicle’s fan belt.
- Little Orphan Andy, a free-roaming horse, was rejected by his herd on a remote mountain at only 24-hours old. Our staff was able to stabilize Andy and find him a new mom, Una.
- Magic, a 10-month-old puppy who was shot in the head. Despite his horrific abuse, Magic is a silly, sweet and snuggly dog who loves everyone he meets.
- Preston and his five siblings arrived at our doors critically ill with parvovirus. They needed intensive, round-the-clock care to beat this terrible disease.
