We are thrilled to report that Waggin’ Tail at the Waterfront was a howling success! Over 1,500 dogs and their families came out to Louisville’s favorite dog-friendly family festival on Sunday – and helped raise over $100,000 for the animals at the Kentucky Humane Society! We are so grateful and thrilled for our community’s support of the animals!
Waggin’ Tail – now in its 29th year – is the Kentucky Humane Society’s second largest fundraising event, and we couldn’t be happier with the turnout. The weather was glorious, dogs were happy, families were relaxed and kids had fun. Adults enjoyed cocktails and food under the trees while listening to local band The Aesthetic. Kids had their faces painted and created beautiful dog and cat paintings to take home. Dogs cooled off in splash pools and enjoyed a food truck just for dogs. Celebrity dog EthanAlmighty took photos with fans. Sponsors distributed giveaways and vendors sold animal-themed goodies. Adoptable pups from KHS and other local rescues met potential adopters.
