Severely Injured Cat Arrives at KHS

Cat in Critical Condition Needs Your Help

Warning: Graphic Content Below

A seven-year-old Siamese cat was recently found on the streets by a Good Samaritan who recognized that he needed immediate medical attention. This poor kitty, whom we’ve named Fish Biscuits, arrived at our Sam Swope Pet Treatment and Lifesaving Center just in time for us to help him. Sadly, he is in critical condition with painfully infected wounds all over his head. His little ear is swollen and full of infection, and he’s infested with mites leaving him extremely itchy.

We’ll never be certain what Fish Biscuits experienced, but we’ve promised him that we will do everything we can to save his life. Our team has cleaned his wounds and placed a drain in the abscess on his head in hopes of removing the infection and avoiding sepsis. We’ve also provided Fish Biscuits with pain medication and antibiotics, along with medication to take care of the mites all over his poor, exhausted body. We will remove the drain after a few days to check his progress and will update you on his condition. In the meantime, please donate in Fish Biscuit’s honor. Thanks to our friends at Strategic Communicationsall gifts made through April 15 will double to support twice as many vulnerable animals. Together, we can stand behind every animal who comes through our doors in need of lifesaving medical care.
