I wish it weren’t so, but there are animals in Kentucky who have never known true love. Animals like Tami.

Tami was found in a Louisville apartment after her family moved without her. She showed signs of terrible neglect. She was dangerously thin and extremely weak. Tami also had trouble walking because of a birth defect that left her back legs unable to bend. We don’t know her entire story, but it was plain to see … Tami had suffered for too long. And no animal should suffer from lack of love.

But thanks to your support of the Kentucky Humane Society, Kentucky’s most vulnerable animals have somewhere to turn.

Because of you, we were able to give Tami the love and lifesaving care she needed. With love, understanding, and plenty of food, Tami gained strength and confidence. The little dog, now healthy and playful, sought affection from anyone willing to give it! We posted her story — and her sweet face — on Facebook, and Tami’s new family fell head-over-heels in love with her. Tami’s “mom” works at a local veterinary clinic and is dedicated to making sure Tami receives all the specialized care — and love — she needs to thrive.

Thanks to you, Tami will never go another day without love. But there are so many more animals like her. Animals who have been abandoned, overlooked and forgotten. Animals who need your help.
