Love helping great causes? Join us for the Colon Cancer Prevention Project‘s Kicking Butt 5K! The Kicking Butt 5K is happening on Saturday, September 24th from 8-11 a.m. at Big Four Bridge, located at 1101 River Rd, Louisville, KY 40202!
This year’s theme is “Beat the Clock!” This 5K is all about raising awareness that colon cancer can be prevented through timely screening, starting at age 45 or younger. You have the power to prevent an unnecessary colon cancer diagnosis! Eat healthy, learn the symptoms of colon cancer, listen to your body, and get screened on time. This is a dog-friendly event so please feel free to bring your pup along to enjoy a great time with the whole family.
The fun starts at 8 AM, including:
-Healthy Village vendors and visitors like Kountry Kitters Mobile Petting Zoo, Juice Cafe, and more!
-Best Dressed Dog Contest with prize provided by Chewy.
-Kids 1/4 Mile Dash at 8:40 AM
Did we mention that the highest fundraising team wins a private wine-tasting experience for 20 at Total Wine & More St. Matthews?!
The Kentucky Humane Society will be present with a table/tent setup as part of the event’s “Healthy Village” and we will have puppies for everyone to cuddle so make sure to stop by!
