Meet our Volunteer of the Month, Annabelle Pike!

Annabelle is an Equine Volunteer and she volunteers at Willow Hope Farm every Saturday and sometimes more! You can see her doing anything from feeding, administrating medicine, completing wellness checks to cleaning and organizing things around the farm!

Annabelle has a few memories that stand out above the rest, here is one of her favorite: “One memory was the first time I groomed the horse I ended up adopting. She was so happy to be groomed that she put her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes. I had no intention of adopting a horse, but I fell in love with her!”

Annabelle says if you are thinking about volunteering for KHS, just sign up already! “I get so much more back from working with the horses than I give. I could have not imagined how rewarding this experience is.”

Outside of volunteering, Annabelle has two rescue cats, two rescue dogs, and one rescue horse, so she spends a lot of time with her animals. “I enjoy hiking with my dogs, walking trails with my horse, and cooking. I also love going to the gym and weight-lifting so I can be strong enough to lift muck buckets!”

Well, Annabelle, you sure are the jack of all trades and KHS is more than happy to have you as a part of our Equine team! We can’t thank you enough for all the hard work and dedication you show towards KHS!
