Morticia Update – 9/22/2024
Morticia Addams recently arrived at KHS in desperate need of TLC after she was rescued by someone who witnessed her being thrown from a moving vehicle. She suffered a severe break and degloving injury to her rear left leg that required emergency amputation surgery. Thankfully, Morticia recovered well and took to three-legged life like a pro just in time for her forever family to come along! We are thrilled to know that this sweet pup will never again feel the pain and fear she experienced before she was rescued. Join us in wishing Morticia Addams “HAPPY TAILS!”
Morticia Addams, a three-year-old Cattle Dog mix, recently arrived at our Sam Swope Pet Treatment and Lifesaving Center with heartbreaking injuries. She was rescued from a busy highway by someone who witnessed her being thrown from a moving vehicle. Poor Morticia suffered a severe break and degloving injury to her rear left leg when she hit the pavement, leaving her in extreme pain and in need of immediate care. Our veterinary team determined that an emergency amputation surgery was the best way to guarantee a full recovery and avoid infection, so they jumped into action and got Morticia started on her road to recovery.
