Dental Care for Animals in Need
As animals age, so does the likelihood that they will need dental procedures. We are incredibly proud to share that KHS secured $30,000 from two generous grantors to help our team provide essential dental care to vulnerable shelter cats and dogs. A special thank you to:

• Margaret Voorhies Haggin Trust: $10,000
Now, we need your help! KHS is looking to raise another $10,000 to fully equip our dental suite as the total cost of the dental equipment is $40,000. This equipment is essential for providing life-changing dental procedures for cats and dogs in severe pain or with health issues stemming from dental problems.Your contribution will help us bridge the final $10,000 gap and make a real difference in animals’ lives.
Meet Harvey: A Success Story
Harvey, an 11-year-old dog, came to KHS needing extensive dental work. It was clear he was in pain. After evaluating his needs, our veterinary team determined that extraction of all his upper and lower premolars and molars, as well as all upper incisors, was the best way to give Harvey a pain-free life. After a week of recovery, Harvey was ready for adoption and he quickly found his forever home! Your support will help us continue to provide this level of care to more animals in need.
