Frostbitten Puppy Needs Your Help

RECENT ARRIVAL! 12/13/2024

Rudolph recently arrived at another shelter after a Good Samaritan found him frostbitten and afraid on the streets. At just two months old, this puppy urgently needed medical attention, so he was rushed to our Sam Swope Pet Treatment and Lifesaving Center for immediate care.

Upon his arrival, we were shocked to see that Rudolph’s nose was completely raw. The frostbite caused severe damage to the tissue on his little nose, causing it to fall off and become inflamed with infection. Rudy’s pain was obvious, so our veterinary team quickly started him on pain medication and antibiotics to keep him comfortable and fight off the infection. Rudolph is under close observation and seems to be in good spirits despite all he’s been through. We will keep you updated on his condition, but in the meantime please donate to support emergency medical care for more animals just like him.

Right now is an especially impactful time to donate as we are in the midst of our annual Give Hope Campaign. Thanks to our Board of Directors, ALL gifts made to KHS through 12/31 will be MATCHED. That means your gift will DOUBLE to support lifesaving care for TWICE as many animals like Rudolph in their times of need. Thank you for caring!
