At only four months old, Cowboy was abandoned overnight on a delivery bag outside the Kentucky Humane Society’s doors. He had a severe break to his leg, caused by blunt-force trauma. He was in such tremendous pain that he didn’t move the entire night. Early the next morning, a KHS staff member found him and rushed him to our veterinary team.
Thanks to your support, the Kentucky Humane Society provided Cowboy with lifesaving medical care, nourishing food and time to heal. Because of you, he was saved.
We have great news about how you can help even more animals like Cowboy. The Joanne W. Gauntt Foundation has offered to match – DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR – every gift KHS receives by December 31…up to a total of $40,000. What an amazing gift to homeless and abandoned animals who will be saved by this kindness. There has never been a more powerful time to give. And your gift has never been more important. Kentucky’s injured, ill and abandoned animals need help now. Help us give hope this holiday season by sending in a gift today. Thank you.
$50 provides food and shelter for one needy animal. KHS provides shelter, food and love to Kentucky’s most vulnerable companion animals. And then we find families to love them. But we can only do it with your help!
$100 provides supplies to spay and neuter 10 pets. Thanks to your support, our S.N.I.P. Clinic provides spay/neuter surgeries to thousands of dogs and cats a year – leading to fewer animals suffering in the streets and helping ensure that every pet is wanted and loved.
$250 provides medical care to a critically ill animal. Every week, we take in cats, dogs and horses who have nowhere else to go. Some arrive with traumatic injuries. Others have suffered from neglect or abuse. Your support helps us heal their broken bodies and hearts! Your gift doubles today to provide: 2x the lifesaving care; 2x the impact; 2x the encouraging support.
