HURRICANE UPDATE: Meet Our Newest Arrivals!
When Hurricane Milton destroyed the Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic & Ranch in Palm Beach, Florida, and left their animals in need of shelter and safety, we joined forces with BISSELL Pet Foundation to provide as much aid as possible. We quickly transformed our Pet Retreat into an emergency shelter, and 24 animals were transported to Kentucky overnight in hopes of finding loving places to call home.
Fiona Apple, Trevor and Draco are amongst the cats and dogs who came in earlier this week – all of whom were unowned and in the Furry Friends shelter prior to Hurricane Milton. Our staff and volunteers have been working hard to help these sweet animals settle in after the trauma they’ve experienced by providing them with the tender loving care they deserve.
While 24 animals are now safe and sound at KHS, their journeys have only just begun. We promise to be there every step of the way to provide them with medical and behavioral assessments, enrichment, socialization and love until their forever families come along.
