The Kentucky Humane Society is thrilled to announce our participation in the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s national “Empty the Shelters” event! From this Thursday, October 5 through Saturday, October 14, KHS is waiving adoption fees for all adult dogs and cats (1 year and older).
While adoption fees are waived, the adoption process remains the same. Jefferson County adopters are responsible for licensing fees ($10.50), and donations are gratefully accepted.
Stop by the KHS Main Campus at 241 Steedly Drive or East Campus at 1000 Lyndon Lane in Louisville to meet amazing adoptable cats and dogs. Adoptions are processed 11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on weekends. Extended adoption hours are offered on Thursdays at the Main Campus, with adoptions processed until 6:30 p.m.There are so many loving, deserving animals in our shelter waiting for families to choose them. Play your part by choosing adoption, and help us Empty the Shelters! All pets adopted from KHS come with 30 days of MetLIfe Pet Insurance and have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and given flea and tick preventatives.
