Park Community Credit Union Launches Pet-Themed, KHS-Branded Debit Card to Benefit KHS

Park Community Will Cover the Adoption Fee for Anyone Who Uses Their KHS-Branded Card to Adopt from KHS in March

Park Community Credit Union (PCCU) today launched a pet-themed, KHS-branded debit card to benefit the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS). To celebrate, PCCU will cover the adoption fee for anyone who uses the KHS-branded card to adopt a new pet in March. The KHS-branded debit card is available to current and new PCCU members when they make a $5 donation to KHS at any of the 15 PCCU branches across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. The adoption fees that PCCU will cover for anyone who uses their KHS-branded card to adopt from KHS during the month of March range from approximately $150 – $350, so represent a significant saving. The $5 donation to KHS that is required to receive the card will help provide lifesaving care to KHS shelter animals while they wait for their forever home.

PCCU and its members have donated more than $137,000 to KHS since the two not-for-profit organizations began partnering in 2011. PCCU sponsors KHS’ signature community events, including Tuxes & Tails, KHS’ major fundraiser, and Waggin’ Tail, KHS’ pet-friendly festival to celebrate animals. PCCU also sponsors the KHS CARE-a-van mobile veterinary clinic, helping bring low-cost pet care to communities across Kentucky that lack access to affordable vet care.

“We take great pride in joining forces with KHS and working towards our common goal of improving the lives of our community members,” said Jim Spradlin, PCCU President and CEO. “We love this partnership with KHS and collaborating with local partners to give back to the communities we serve.”

“We are so grateful for our long-term partnership with Park Community Credit Union and its members and all they do to help animals,” said Alisa Gray, President & CEO, the Kentucky Humane Society. “ We’re thrilled to launch the new Park Community debit card. It’s an easy and rewarding way for people to show their love for and help the animals in our community.”
