Donate to Help Injured Puppies like Woody
Woody, a two-month-old puppy, arrived at KHS earlier today scared and in desperate need of help. One of her rear legs is severely broken and causing her untold amounts of pain. How she came to be in this condition is unknown but we’ll stick by her side regardless.

X-rays revealed that Woody’s back right leg suffered a single clean break – meaning we may be able to save it with a carefully crafted treatment plan. We’ve started her on pain medication and anti-inflammatories to keep her comfortable as she recovers, and have placed a splint on her broken leg to stabilize it. We are hopeful that with time and rest, the breaks in Woody’s leg will mend themselves but of course, we’re prepared to pivot if needed. Our one and only goal is to ensure this sweet girl leaves this trauma behind and lives a happy, healthy life.

For now, Woody is pain-free and surrounded by people who are rooting for her to recover. We’ll keep you posted on her progress but in the meantime, you can support animals just like her in their times of need by donating today. Together, we can make sure that vulnerable pets in our community are welcomed with open arms when they arrive at KHS in need of help.
