The Kentucky Humane Society invites local animal lovers to Louisville’s premier event benefiting homeless pets. Tuxes & Tails Gala, presented by Mister “P” Express, Inc., will take place Saturday, August 17, at the Marriott Louisville Downtown.

The event draws in animal lovers not only with its important mission of helping homeless dogs, cats and horses, but with a fun and festive theme. This year’s theme is “Catsino Royale: For Your Paws Only,” and features a silent auction, open bar, appetizers, casino tables, games and adoptable pets, followed by dinner and a spirited live auction, music by “From Paris” and an after party.

Gala tickets—which typically sell out—are $200 per person, or sponsorships start at $2,000. KHS is also offering $75 tickets to the Tuxes Tails Lounge for guests who want to arrive after dinner. Starting at 8:30 p.m., Lounge guests enjoy appetizers, desserts, drinks, silent auction bidding and adoptable pets. They join the After Party for dancing and cocktails at 9:30 p.m.
