Eager to give back to her community, Jennifer Schoenegge joined our team of volunteers, assisting with our shelter’s unique Pet Photography Program. The primary purpose of Pet Photography is to take portraits of adoptable animals and place the images on the main website for the general public to view. These lifesaving photos contribute to many of our animal’s finding their forever homes!

A professional photographer specializing in portraits of high school seniors, children, families, businesses and pets, Jennifer wanted to give back to shelter animals using her skillset. Jennifer enjoys the team setting of the program and comments that is “overwhelmed by the dedication, commitment and passion” of her fellow assistants and photographers.

The best part? “I keep track of all the animals I photograph and celebrate when they find their forever homes,” Jennifer says, but warns, “that it takes strong self control to not adopt a new family member every visit.”

When not volunteering, Jennifer can be found on a cross country course or a high school track taking pictures of her daughter’s 8th grade races.
