Thank you for being a lifesaver for animals like Fancy! We are so grateful to have you as a friend and supporter!
Fancy arrived at the Kentucky Humane Society after she was found injured by a vehicle’s fan belt. This two-month-old kitten had terrible injuries to her face and leg. Despite the discomfort she was in, Fancy’s will to live and her sweet spirit inspired us all at the shelter.
Over the last month, Fancy has received plenty of TLC, and she is slowly getting better. Our veterinary team sutured a hole in her frontal sinus that was making it difficult to breathe. They gave her pain medications and antibiotics and syringe fed her for the first few days. It was touch and go for a while.
But our sweet Fancy didn’t give up. Now she is breathing easily, eating on her own, and shows her appreciation by making “biscuits.” She still has a long road ahead of her, and we are unsure if her leg can be saved, but we will be with her every step of the way – just like you.
Thank you for being a friend of KHS. Your support means the world to our animals.
We never know who will come through our doors needing help. But with your support, we are always prepared. Because of you, we can provide each animal with the medical care, nutritious food, love and time they need.
