Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there! From human babies to fur-babies, the love of a dad is paw-some. Today, we want to recognize our fantastic foster dads! They open their hearts and homes to some of the Kentucky Humane Society’s most vulnerable animals, giving them the love and support they need to heal and prepare for their furever homes. Their dedication to providing safe, peaceful foster homes for mamas and kittens, to litters of puppies and large adult dogs makes an enormous difference. KHS is facing the same challenges as most shelters nationwide: stray and surrendered pets are climbing while adoptions have slowed. You can help alleviate this stress on our shelter by temporarily welcoming a foster dog or cat into your home.
Foster placements can be as short as a week or as long as a month – it all depends on the animal and your schedule! KHS provides all necessary supplies, all you provide is the LOVE! Whether you’re looking to dip your toes into pet ownership or simply want temporary companionship, becoming a foster caregiver is an easy and rewarding way to make a difference!
