Seven-year-old Ivy arrived at our Sam Swope Pet Treatment and Lifesaving Center in desperate need of our help. She’d been suffering from severe bladder stones for months on end, leaving her in constant pain as she urinated blood. We promised this sweet senior we’d help her feel better, and immediately got to work.
Knowing she’d been in pain for many months without passing the bladder stones, we elected to surgically remove them in order to guarantee the quickest recovery possible. Her surgery was successful and we ultimately removed four large marble-sized bladder stones, along with countless pebble-like stones. Ivy spent a few days carefully recovering as we monitored her food intake and urine to ensure she stayed on the right track.
Fast forward to today, and Ivy’s made a full recovery. She no longer has to power through untold amounts of pain to live a normal life, and is officially ready to find her forever home!
