Seeing the World Differently
Meet Stevie and Ray! These five-week-old cuties came to the Kentucky Humane Society on Monday with their mom and two other siblings. You may notice that Stevie and Ray have a unique look to them. Well, that’s because these fluffy little ones both have underdeveloped eyes and are completely blind!
Despite their blindness, they act like any normal kittens. They love cuddling up with their mom, sleeping on top of their siblings and playing with any toy they can find. Stevie, Ray and the rest of their family will spend the next few weeks in an experienced KHS foster home where they will continue growing and socializing.
When they’re old enough, they will return to KHS to get ready to find their forever homes!
How to Help
Want to help animals like Stevie and Ray? We welcome Wish List items! Our foster kittens are in need of canned pate kitten food, KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer), bottles, heating pads, blankets/bedding and unscented baby wipes. We gladly accept Wish List items at our Sam Swope Pet Treatment & Lifesaving Center at 241 Steedly Drive, our East Campus at 1000 Lyndon Lane and adoption centers at Feeders Supply stores.
In addition, we welcome donations. KHS is a private nonprofit and relies on donations to care for thousands of animals a year. Donate online at www.kyhumane.org/donate.
