We are thrilled to announce that our Board Chair Elect, Tara Bristow, was recently honored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals with their 2023 Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award!
Tara has volunteered with the Kentucky Humane Society for over eight years and joined our Board of Directors in 2021. She also leads our Tuxes & Tails committee, and has accompanied us on countless disaster-relief efforts. In her time with KHS, she’s helped raise over $1 MILLION for our shelter animals! Tara’s passion, empathy and work ethic are second to none. She pours her heart and soul into our mission every day, and there’s no one more deserving of this award.
