Enjoy Events with KHS

In 2025, the Kentucky Humane Society’s signature fundraising events and community partnerships raised over $1,000,000 to support our lifesaving mission of helping homeless animals in need. Your attendance and commitment to our events help us continue saving nearly 6,000 dogs, cats and horses each year! Interested in sponsoring any of our events?

Join us for the 32nd annual Waggin’ Tail on the Waterfront on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Waterfront Park’s Festival Plaza for an exciting and heartwarming festival that nearly 1,500 animal lovers and their pets attend each year! Tickets for this event go on sale in March.

Our 2026 Tuxes & Tails Gala Presented by Mister “P” Express Inc. and Lifetime Wealth Strategies is Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.

With the theme “PAWhibition: A Night at the Speakeasy,” our 33rd annual gala includes a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, four-legged guests, dinner, games, a 1920s-themed speakeasy and many surprises! Dress your ’20s best and let your unique style shine as we come together to create a brighter future for Kentucky’s companion animals.

The 2026 Pars for Pets golf scramble is Monday, October 12, 2026 at the University of Louisville Golf Club. Pars for Pets is the Kentucky Humane Society’s annual charity golf scramble. Foursomes enjoy a day of golf, games, and giving. During lunch and the cocktail reception, golfers enjoy fantastic raffle prizes with proceeds benefiting animals in need. Golfers may register their team at any time throughout the year by contacting Savannah Gregorchik-Menendez at [email protected] or 502-425-5486.
